About Me

I am a yellow female lab that was donated to the Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. I hope to one day become a seeing eye dog to give freedom to someone who cannot see.

SNOW

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  It was very chaotic here and I just wanted to be the center of attention.  I kept waiting for my furraiser to drop some of that yummy ham on the floor for me and Max to eat.  I knew she wouldn't though being that Max was sick on December 23rd.  My furraiser thinks his thyroid was probably acting up or he ate something he shouldn't have cause the vet said he was fine.

But Christmas night something wonderful happened here.  Something white, cold, and fluffy started to fall from the sky.  At first I thought it was rain and I was NOT going out in it.  I really didn't need a cold shower.  My furraiser insisted that I go out in it.  It was wonderful.  It was so light and fluffy.  I tried to catch it on my tongue and when it hit, it was cold and turned wet.  My furraiser called it SNOW.

Later that night they took me out again and this snow was all over the ground.  I love this stuff.  It was so invigorating that it made me run around like a puppy without my head.  I loved digging in it with my nose and eating it.  It tastes soo good (not the yellow stuff though).  My furraiser and her boyfriend were having a snowball fight and they kept throwing the snow around.  I liked trying to catch it and have it smash me in my nose.  It was such a fun game I didn't want to stop but my furraiser said she was cold....booo for you....BOL.

Anyways, it's time to go play some more in the snow.  Bark at you later.

Northwest School of Art's Choir

Last night my furraiser took me to yet another Chrismas concert with her furrdaughter.  I think I'm really get the hang of this Christmas thing.  I kept whining at my furraiser but she kept telling me "no noise".  I don't think she realized until it was done that I REALLY had to go busy.  She did take me out once during the concert but there we sooooo many other smells outside that I just couldn't concentrate to do my busy.  I did finally get to go once it was all over.

I also got to learn how to do stairs.  I think my furraiser was going to wait until she could take me to my furgrandma's house where there is carpet so I wouldn't hurt myself but I it just didn't happen that way.  At first they were a little scary and I wasn't quite sure how to get up them.  She was very patient with me while I got my footing straight.  There were only 4 stairs but it felt like a whole bunch more than that.  Of course going down would have been pretty easy for me being that I like to jump and  I tried to jump them all but my furraiser wouldn't let me.  She made me walk down them.  Boy sometimes she can be no fun at all.

Anyways, the kids sang good and I got to get out of the house.

Charlotte Children's Choir

This past weekend I went to hear my furraiser's daughter sing with the Charlotte Children's Choir.  This was a wonderful experience for me.  The children sang so well.  I was a little curious though at all the clapping sounds.  I had to raise my head and ears to figure out what the sound was.  I also found the drums that they used in the Little Drummer Boy very interesting.  Both were sounds that I had never heard before.

Their singing was so beautiful and relaxing that I ended up falling asleep under the pew.  When it was all over, I didn't want to get up but I knew that I had to go home.  My furraiser did wait until the church was pretty clear and most of the people had exited before waking me up.  She must think that a large crowd would scare me or that they would all step on me.  She is probably right so I'm glad she waited.

I hear from what they are saying that her daughter has another performance this Wednesday.  I hope I get to go to that one too.  I love the Christmas songs and they all sound so beautiful.

Puppy Hugging

Tomorrow I get to go puppy hugging.  I guess that's were everyone gets to hug me.  I like hugs and can't wait.  My furraiser has gotten me all ready with a bath, clean ears and brushed teeth.  She even trimmed my nails.  I'm so pretty, or at least I think so.  She even bought me a new holiday collar and hat.  I don't think they will let me wear the hat at the puppy hugging but I bet they let me wear my collar.  It has bells on it.  She also bought red bows to put on everyone else's collars when we go.  Don't know if they will use them but I think it's festive for the season.

Well bark at you later,
